Hi boys. Today my car started to vibrate when accelerating . Seems like something is out of balance . Vibration goes when I get to 55 mph . When rolling it does not vibrate. Engine mounts looks OK .Dodgy CV joint been replaced . Wheels look OK . Can knackered dual mass flywheel cause this ? Or I missed something ? :'(
The common cause for this is an inner CV joint failing (or if you are really lucky - running dry). I've also had this when the front wheels needed balancing - strangely only under acceleration, not when coasting which is unusual for wheel balancing.
A failing DMF wouldn't cause that symptom :)
How do I identify wich side is causing vibration?
From underneath with the shield removed and neutral selected. Rotate the shafts and look for play
Got inner CV replaced and vibration is away . :D :D :D Thanks for advice.
