Post by: gazz1970 on June 18, 2014, 08:40:35 PM
Hi everyone Im about to change flywheel and clutch has anyone tried a single mass conversion on the 150 bhp mk2 ? Is it worth it or should I stick with the dual mass? Cheers

You planning to do it yourself? My clutch has just started slipping and I am debating whether to do ghe job myself or pay the Ã,£800 and get a local garage to do it...

SMFs are largely known to create a harshness, they are of course theoretically more reliable but at the cost of a smooth drivetrain.

Had a flywheel issue with mine , noisy when clutch raised quite when pressed , ordered new dual mass flywheel kit and new driveshafts , when old 1 taken out it was a solid single flywheel , drive shaft knackered aswell , so I would recommend a dual mass
