Title: SIDE LAMPS CHANGE
Post by: wazevan on June 18, 2014, 05:03:52 PM
How do you change light bulbs on the side/city light.Got the bulbs ,had a look and looks like I got to remove main light. All my other cars(French) was just case of take bulb out.
Also when car lights are on (ignition off) .One side is showing two red bulbs lite up (passenger side).Driver side just one bulb lite up.Is this normal.Brake lights are working as normal.
Thanks

The sidelight bulb in the headlamp can be changed without removing the complete lamp unit by going in through the little sliding access flap in the wheelarch liner (at about the 10 or 2 o' clock position depending on the side of vehicle you are on), it can be a bit of a squeeze to fit your hand through this flap however! The bulb holder is a simple twist bayonet.

As for your other issue, I presume you mean rear lights? It looks like each (outer) rear lamp cluster has two bulbs in it for sidelights so if you can see two bulbs lit on one side and only one on the other then you've likely got a bulb gone.

CHEERS,  insanitybeard,
Brill tip, changed bulbs in 15 mins .What a clever access point, save taking the light unit out.Easier than the French car!!!!!!! This should be added to the reference library. Thanks Rear bulb was also blown.
Thanks
