Had just one puncture on my S-Max in five years (fingers crossed) and had to use the emergency electric (cigarette lighter socket) gizmo that squirts gunk into the punctured tyre. Am I right in thinking I'll now need a whole new gizmo, not just the bottle of gunk, since it will be full of gunk that's set solid? Is an aerosol of Holts Tyreweld a good alternative?
What do others do?
Thanks, Tony
If its the pump and bottle type then no, the pump pressurises the bottle which squirts into the tyre so it should be fine and just need a replacement bottle o' goo :)
Thanks for that - yes, it's a pump plus bottle. I'll ask my local dealer for one.
Thanks again, Tony - hope you can help with my fresh query about headlight masks for Continental driving...
When you replace it you get a new bottle of gunk and a new hose piece to attach to the pump. Think mine was around Ã,£40 from dealer
