Hi there new to the forum. Just bought a 2011 titanium x galaxy. Trying to change all the bulbs over to LEDs but the approach lamps in the wing mirrors have me baffled. The instructions in the handbook are straight forward but I cannot locate the clip to release the unit downwards. If anyone has done this or can help I'd greatly appreciate it.

as you can see as the mk3/smax is relatively new, info on them is slowly coming out.if you do figure it out perhaps if you do not mind do a step by step guide for us for future reference.

Hi I can now confirm that for my particular model the handbook instructions are WRONG! It states turn the mirror inwards and insert a screwdriver in the gap to release the housing that hold the bulb and holder. This will not get you anywhere as the actual unit is bolted in.
The correct and easiest way is to gently remove the mirror glass by using a screwdriver to release 2 or 3 of the plastic clips then a gentle pull should release the glass. From there you simply untwist the bulb holder and switch bulbs and replace. The glass just clicks back on. Takes a few minutes to do.
Not sure if all mk3 models are the same so only speaking for my own particular model.
thanks for following this up,im sure it will help others.
