hi all
Apart from all of my other problems that i have which I'm sorting in some sort of order!!
My parking sensors now have started with a glitch!
Whenever they are engaged there is a constant bleep as though I'm close to something. but even when I'm away from things they still have a constant bleep.
i have had a separated pipe from the rear wash wipe, but i though i had dried everything out, would this be the problem?
not had time to check with vag com yet as been very ill and not had the time, any help would be most welcome cheers peeps ;)
Sorry to hear your ill, hope you get better soon :)
Is it a low then high pitch beep (with flashing led in the switch) or just one tone? The former being an indication that the system is in error mode, the latter being more likely a sensor fault. Either way its most likely to be a sensor that's failed, when the ECU gets wet you generally get nothing. If its in error state then a scan should tell you exactly what the issue is. You might also want to take a read of this:

hi all sorry to post again so soon, i have just sent my little lad out and all 8 sensors are ticking, if that's a sign, when you put it into reverse there now is a bleeping noise like something is getting close to the car, but when you walk in front or behind the car they work normally. been under the passenger seat and all is dry just the front bleeped bleeping, oh and the dashboard switch doesn't flash that seams to be working as normal. totally confused now
If the front sounders going off all the time then its probably one of the front sensors that's gone defective - I've seen this a few times where they get internally corroded and "sense" a non existent object permanently. VCDS is the only way to diagnose this one I'm afraid!
cheers my friend,
was thinking it might be but was hoping for an answer, being lazy at the min, so much in pain from my op, will try it in a few days, again thank you for all of you great advice

Well thats good news but I suspect it'll be back! Once waters got in once it will happen again as the seals damaged :(
