Title: First Service
Post by: Hitman47 on May 01, 2014, 03:47:22 PM
Afternoon All,

Just though I'd pop in and say hello. I have been reading this forum for a few weeks, but inly just registered. So please be nice!

I have just taken my 12 plate Galaxy for a service at the local Ford garage, and left my GF to deal with it while I was at work. Turns out its going cost me Ã,£800+, I'm looking forward to the bill breakdown!.

And they didn't include collection and delivery, all fully valeted and also assign you a personal service manager all in?  ::)

Joking aside I hope its a mistake on their part.

I'm not totally sure what the breakdown will be, but I needed a new wing mirror as someone decided that it would look better all smashed and hanging down the side of the car. Also needed two new tires, (something I had been meaning to look at for a few weeks but not had time).

I dont think that the garage are trying to rip me off, Its just things I could and should have done myself before hand but never had the chance. I think its a case of lesson learned!

Ahh, the wing mirror alone will be in the Ã,£275 range, tyres probably Ã,£100 each so at Ã,£475. Service around Ã,£125 so Ã,£600 then chuck some labour and VAT on that and its around the price you paid.
