Title: Dual mass flywheel or single solid flywheel

My dual mass flywheel is on its way out on my 2003 1.9 tdi . Do I go for a new dual mass flywheel or single solid flywheel ??? , any ideas thanks

DMF's are used for a reason , to reduce vibration and smooth out the drive train so giving you a more pleasant drive.
You may find as others have regreting putting in a solid flywheel and have even taken the solid one out again and replaced with a DMF.

Yeah you can get away with SMFs on petrols, but SMFs on diesels generally cause more problems then the supposed gain.
