I have taken mirez's link and purchased the replacement bushes off eBay for Ã,£5.99 inc postage. I have read the technical section on this and it looks simple enough😚 has anybody done this and do they have any tips that they discovered while doing it that may help me. Thanks for all your replies.
once you've got it off; take it indoors to sit at a table ?
I done mine in the kitchen, sanding brushes on a length of emery paper.
then used the cotton method to tie them back---cut cotton when it was assembled.
I made sure it worked using a Makita cordless drill battery before I put it back on the car.
the factory fitted hose clips are bstds to get off unless you use long-nosed visegrips to compress them !!

....or easier than jubilee clips if you use one of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-VS1663-Flexible-Long-Reach-Remote-Action-Hose-Clip-Pliers-Hand-Tool-/141228660775?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20e1e25827 (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Sealey-VS1663-Flexible-Long-Reach-Remote-Action-Hose-Clip-Pliers-Hand-Tool-/141228660775?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item20e1e25827)
Though the locking mechanism on mine doesn't work any more (probably because I bought the cheapest one on ebay). I still find it easier than jubilee clips though, particularly in confined spaces..like when removing the hoses on the aux pump.
By the way the pump itself will slide out of the rubber mountings once hoses and electrical connector are disconnected. The pictures in the FAQ are from when I did mine.
Definitely get yourselves one of those clip tools as suggested.
I got a set by draper, saved breaking the clips and struggling.
yeah its pretty simple job move fuel filter out of its slots 2x 10mm bolts and i found easier just remove the bottom hose , leave long hose attached and remove at other end of egr valve , slide out of rubber mountings bend clips open , hardest part is holding the brushes out when reassembling .
