Title: Mudflaps
Post by: benali on March 18, 2014, 03:49:53 PM
My '04 Alhambra's got rust breaking out on the sills and lower door edges. Nothing too bad yet, but I've found a local bodyshop you said they could sort it out for a couple of hundred quid, so seeing as I am looking to keep the car for another 3 years, it seems worth doing.
Anyway, I think I'll invest in some mudflaps which is what I should have done a few years back when I bought the car! I can only see the ford branded ones available, can anyone recommend suitable mudflaps for the Alhambra?

Thanks for the link gregers. I wonder how well they'd fit with them being universal though.
It would be nice to find something more specific. I need to do some more searching, I wonder what Seat would have fitted if you spec'd it from new?

Also, given you have a 2004 model - you should have the plastic side extensions fitted. These require different mud flaps from the Galaxy.

VW do a set themselves, both for pre and post sill extensions - might be worth enquiring with them

I don't think mines got the sill extensions you mention (see pic)?
Most probably only front ones I need as the back only sprays onto the plastic rear bumper.

Nope, they havn't been fitted to yours so in theory and Mk1/Mk2 Galaxy mudflaps should be fine ;)
