Help me please!!!! I was trying to fix my cruise control on 99 1.9tdi ghia as cable had snapped one I forgot to disconnect battery but as I was taking indicator arm out there was a snapping sound and 30 seconds later a lot of smoke filling my car. I'm in the dog house with the wife as she now has no car Monday. The bit that's had it is the ten pin plug vw part number 191972725 but don't know how to search as not sure as to the correct name for it . Thanks in advance
Ford generally dont sell the connectors but the looms instead, you could go to VW and buy the connector but you'll need to be skilled to swap the old cables out as they are pin locked to the connector.
My advice would be to go to a breakers yard and cut one off a doner car together with a short length of loom, you can then solder that to your existing loom..... with the battery disconnected this time ;)
Help me please I have done this to cables connecting to my cruise control am in the dog house with the wife as I have shorted cables (http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/02/24/agasegu3.jpg)
