Title: Ford Galaxy - Loss of services from fuse 32/splice joint 32
Post by: Chrispb on January 28, 2014, 02:36:58 PM
If the car has ever suffered the wet carpet syndrome then it's possible this splice joint may have suffered damage from corrosion, symptoms can be loss of some or all of services powered by fuse 32.
There is a bunch of red/white wires (splice joint 32) some I've seen just wound together with a bit of tape.
It's not easily visible but can be found taped into the wiring loom down the side of passenger seat and seat belt pretensioner.

Pull off door weatherseal, remove the two scuff trim screws then pull the trim upwards to release several locating pegs

Remove the 3 screws securing the trim support bracket.

Peel away the tape around the loom to reveal the joint

Inspect the joint for breakage, resolder and heat shrink as necessary.
