Have an issue with my clutch which seems to be reasonable common but I can't find a solution for.



Replaced the flywheel, clutch and slave cyclinder. Put everything back and bled the clutch and am having an intermittent problem where somethings the clutch will not fully dissengage so I cannot get the car out of gear and the clutch is grabbing slightly. Also when driving the pedal will pulse under acceleration/deacceleration.



Used all orignal quailalty parts Sachs/Luk everything done properly lined up and torqued correctly.



Replaced the master cyclinder also just in case that was the problem and it hasn't fixed it.



Anybody have any ideas.

Is it possible there were any burrs/wear or built up crud in the splines of the gearbox output shaft causing the friction disc to stick/jam when you release/engage the clutch? Sometimes a small quantity of grease in the splines on assembly helps as well.

Okay, typo on my part......... I should have said gearbox input shaft, not output shaft!  :-[

Could be bent distorted clutch cover fingers damaged while refitting gearbox.

I think I may well be detecting a similar but lesser problem with the clutch that I can live with.  My car came with loads of bills for stuff but judging by the standard of workmanship, the fitter seemed to be in a bit of a hurry! (E.G:  The headlight adjuster was jammed in upside down with a bit of card, rather than undo the panel and refit!)

So I have found my problem. After checking everything, replacing a master cylinder, vacuum bleeding the system etc. I ripped the car again and took off the gearbox. The new flywheel which had only just been fitted was faulty. There was a lot of lateral movement in it which was intermittently causing the clutch the stick. I was surprised by how much as its as bad or worse that the one that came off.

New flywheel and clutch kit made by Sachs bought from a reputable supplier so I'll be sending it back rather promptly to see what they say.
