Title: Drivers arm rest
Post by: Steven_essex on January 07, 2014, 03:51:25 PM
Good day to you all.....can anyone advise a fix for my drivers seat arm rest? It normally locks at approximately the horizontal level, but has recently failed, i.e. it will not lock and has become loose, with a grinding noise when I move it up and down. I can't see how you remove the arm from the chair. Any advice would be most welcome.

Found this...

Pretty easy to remove. There is a sring clip which needs to be hooked off it is sandwiched between the armrest and seat. Push the foam back to gain access. With the clip removed the arm reat will wiggle out. Then from there unzip the upholstery and you can then slide the ali arm rest out.

From there it is pretty easy to strip down. I just drilled through the mech and fixed it with a bolt
