Title: Ford Galaxy TDI MK2 fuel filter change
Post by: TOURER23 on December 23, 2013, 08:39:32 PM
Hello,
I have just had a service kit for my gal which includes the fuel filter. There is mention of an o-ring on the forums. I have looked in the box and only the filter is there. Is there an o-ring on the fuel filter on the car which I will need to take off and put onto the new filter.

Many thanks,

Paul ???

Hi Paul and welcome to the forum :)

There are two "O" rings both of which should be replaced when you change the filter (don't reuse, they are likely break on removal anyway). As you look at the filter the two 90* outlet/inlet pipes are just push on & clamp. When you remove the clip and lift off the remaining pipe, this is the one that has the O rings on it.

Some filter makers don't supply new O rings as they are part of [attachimg=1] the thermo valve
