Title: Diagnostics
Post by: adam1974 on December 11, 2013, 11:28:16 AM
Hi All

I'm new to the forum so Hello to you all.

I know it's my first post and it could be a big ask,But is there anyone in the Surrey area Leatherhead/Cobham that has a diagnostic machine so I can find out why my parking sensor's dont work.
I went to Fords and they were going to charge me an hour's labour (around Ã,£100 +vat) just to take a look :'(

Kind Regards
Adam

Had the problem with our Mk2 when the a connector  for the rear washer came apart and it's under the passenger seat where the PCB for the parking sensor is located. Emptied the washer bottle into this area, drowned the PCB and killed it.

Ford replacement price is Ã,£Ã,£Ã,£Ã,£Ã,£'s and cheapest I've seen on E-bay recently is Ã,£82.

Gone back to just parking carefully until I see a better priced one.

Maplin's do rear parking cameras or complete sensor kits  for a lot less.
