Title: Clutch Bleed Nipple?
Post by: Peter Burgess on December 09, 2013, 08:18:41 PM
My 2003 1.9tdi is overdue a fluid change.
My haynes manual shows the location for a 5 speed box, but mine is six speed.
Looking into the engine bay there is a nipple to the right of center at the top of the gearbox. Is this the one? I'm used to seeing them bolted to a slave cylinder. This one doesn't seem all that secure as the fitting it's connected to moves with it.
It's just visible between the engine cover & the battery cover.
I don't want to damage anything, so some advice from someone in the know would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Peter.

Yeah thats it, I did mine some time ago to be fair but I don't recall it being wobbly! I did mine whist I did another job (can't actually remember what it was) but I had the battery and battery tray out which makes life much easier. If I remember correctly there were a few air bubbles in there :(
