Title: Vagcom VCDS
Post by: Joey P on November 23, 2013, 03:12:58 PM
Can someone please point to the best kit required for Galaxy mk11 1.9TDI.

I know you require a lead either way, but is the free version of VCDS so much better than the older Vagcom 4.09 full version

I work in PC software, (graphics) and should soon be able to work the system, but as this is new and has variants, I ask the question.

One of these, don't worry that galaxy is not listed it is basically VW.
For most DIY you will not need to register.

Dave I have the registered version of vcds lite.
Are you saying it's not connecting at all?
It needs to be connecting properly first before registering.
I'm not that far from you if you need a scan.

Chris, ive also ordered one of those you listed to repkace my okd one,i was wondering what registering gives you over the unregistered version ie what features are unlocked to play with
The 12.1 version i foolishly bought just dont want to play but i suppose thats why it wasnt Ã,£400ish

Hi Dave

Registering your software does give full functionality but use with caution you could do ireversible damage or render the car undriveable by altering codings
For me it allows the autoscan function and output tests,  if you need more info I'm sure Mark will assist as he more familiar with with Vagcom/VCDS

Mirez sorted out my problem with VDCS Lite - it was to do with latency.  Try searching for that on here. Works fine after changing this.
